BARE-ROOT HEDGING – IT’S ALL GONE!

By Jill | March 29th, 2014

We are now sold out of all of our Bare-root hedging and Mixed Hedging Packs.  We have had an incredibly busy winter – despite the wet weather.

Our bare-root plants will be available again from late November 2014 – but we do have a LIMITED amount of pot-grown hedging available at the moment – so if you are looking to plug a small gap – then we may still be able to help you!

Contact us to check on availability.

LAST CHANCE FOR BARE-ROOT HEDGING AND FRUIT TREES

By Jill | March 18th, 2014

We cannot hold it back any longer!!  The unseasonably mild weather – and lack of winter has got all the plants in a spin!!  Last year – in the Arctic spring – we were able to offer bare-root hedging well into April – but sadly we cannot do that this year!!

The plants are rapidly budding and coming into leaf – which means that they can no longer be lifted from the field and sold ‘bare-root’ – we have very limited stock now – just a few of our popular mixed packs remain – so when it’s gone it’s gone!!

We are also rapidy selling out of our bare-root fruit tree range – and they will only be available for a short period.  If you are planning to plant an orchard or hedge while the weather is still so good – do not delay – if you are looking for something in particular please contact the office to check on availability.

We do of course still have our huge range of container-grown trees available – and unlike bare-root these can be planted right into the summer – providing they are kept well-watered!! We do also have a limited range of potted hedging plants as well for filling in those troublesome gaps – so make the most of the lighter days – anything planted now will root really well with all the moisture in the ground – and will give many years of service in your garden.

I’m off to plant now while that sun is still shining!!

UNTIL NEXT TIME,

RICHARD

AN IDEAL TIME TO PLANT – GET OUT THERE!

By Jill | March 1st, 2014

A decent weather week for a change – we are now into March and spring really does seem to be on the horizon.

Even more reason then to crack on and get your trees and hedging planted as soon as possible. Our stock levels are rapidly going down – we have had an extremely busy week on the sales front and as we grow most of the plants we sell – and can only produce so much – to avoid disappointment – get planting while we still have quality trees for you to choose from.

We are already seeing the Bare-root plants breaking into bud – so the bare-root hedging and tree season will not last much longer  – do not delay – get them in the ground!!

UNTIL NEXT TIME,

RICHARD
